We still haven’t been able to digest the fact that you were actually amongst us for nearly half the day. It was our great pleasure to be able to spend some quality time with you, get to know you better and understand what it means for you to be a part of the Mumbai Eye Care Campaign.
Your presence itself was sufficient, but when you shared your experience with us, we were humbled, we all knew the actor that Naseerudin Shah is but it was so amazing to know the human in the actor. “To act means to do” is so simple yet so profound and we are glad that in you we have found someone who we can look up to anytime we need encouragement. Every individual in the room was touched by the simplicity of your nature and I’m sure each one went back questioning his integrity towards the cause.
We are deeply touched by your gesture of sharing your personal experiences regarding the importance of timely diagnosis and treatment of an eye ailment and how we at times fail to even acknowledge the amount of work our sensory organs are put through.
The campaign is huge but the need to reach out is bigger and with you as a part of the family we have begun an association that will surely bare fruit in the days to come.
We want to thank you for supporting the campaign and help us make a difference. Words can’t say enough how much we value your association with us but just that may God’s blessings be abundant on you & your family and may you succeed in every endeavour that comes your way.
Tomorrow as we celebrate the World Sight Day at the Dharavi Eye Mela, your presence will be missed, but we will look forward to having you with us again.
